The brand new Jewellery Show, taking place at ExCel in London from September 5-6, 2022, aims to gather the UK fine, silver and contemporary design jewellery sector under one roof as the industry emerges from pandemic restrictions and seeks new business and networking opportunities, says Event Director Lennox Addo.
Due to the absence of IJL (International Jewellery London), the UK jewellery sector has required one show that can bring participants together to drive business to the next level, added Addo who has pushed relentlessly to get the trade event off the ground.

“The Jewellery Show is not about replacing IJL. It is about reintroducing the jewellery sector within the UK: for the past three years the UK jewellery sector has not had its own platform,” Addo said.
The new show, organised by events group CloserStill Media, will feature exhibitors spanning fine and fashion jewellery, diamond and gem-set jewellery, silver jewellery, loose gemstones; The Podium, a showcase for 12 contemporary jewellery designer brands, as well as tools, packaging and machinery.

Access to the event will be facilitated by the new Elizabeth Line, part of Crossrail that is set to open later this month. Visitors will be able to cross London and alight at the Custom House for ExCel stop.
The team at CloserStill Media are reaching out to retailers and wholesalers across the UK, with plans to host some UK and overseas buyers.
“We are well advanced in terms of booking up exhibitors and are in the process of finishing contracts and negotiating with a number of them,” Addo said.
“We expect to have no more than 250 exhibitors in total.”
Jewellery Show is supported by NAJ and JewelAds, and has established media partnerships with Professional Jeweller, and Jewellery Outlook.
The trade event is planning seminars on the digital transformation and future of jewellery marketing, and a runway show showcasing exhibitor and outside brands.
