LONDON – Charlotte Rose, elected as the first female President of the London Diamond Bourse, has pledged in her new role to drive forward educational initiatives and support the next generation of diamond industry professionals.
Charlotte was elected at the AGM of the London Diamond Bourse on June 25, 2026, replacing David Troostwyk, who will serve as Vice President. The two will continue to work closely together with a shared vision for the Hatton Garden based bourse.

“The London Diamond Bourse has mattered to this trade for generations. My job is to keep it that way – commercially relevant, committed to education, and built around the next generation of professionals who’ll carry it forward,” Charlotte, believed to be the first woman to lead any diamond bourse in the world, told Jewellery Outlook in an interview.
“I’m committed to preserving the integrity and heritage of the natural diamond industry while making room for the innovation that keeps it relevant,” she added.
Charlotte is resolved to making the trade more accessible, collaborative and forward-looking.
Through her leadership, she hopes to encourage greater participation across the industry and demonstrate that tradition and progress can go hand in hand.
Charlotte has been an active member of the London Diamond Bourse for several years, serving on its Council of Management before becoming its first female Vice President.
She is a third-generation jewellery and diamond specialist whose career has combined commercial expertise with a commitment to modernising and promoting the industry.
Beginning her career in the family jewellery business, she later matriculated at Birmingham City University as a mature student, graduating with First Class Honours in Gemmology and Jewellery Studies.
Since then, she has built a reputation as an expert valuer, auctioneer and consultant, advising private clients, retailers and organisations across the diamond and jewellery sectors.
Charlotte recently founded Furlong Auction House, a specialist auction house dedicated to fine jewellery, watches and diamonds.
Alongside leading the business, her work spans valuation, private client advisory, auctions and the international diamond trade, with a particular focus on natural diamonds, market trends and consumer confidence.
She is also a regular speaker and commentator on jewellery industry developments, contributing to conferences, publications and industry events in the UK and internationally.
