How do UltraVault’s services differ from mainstream Malca-Amit services to the jewellery, watches and gemstone industry?
UltraVault is Malca-Amit’s secure safe depository storage service.
UltraVault offers dedicated safe deposit boxes to private individuals and businesses to store valuable assets.
We securely store valuables away from the home or business premises. UltraVault offers comprehensive full liability coverage for assets stored within our vaults, backed by Malca-Amit’s policy with Lloyd’s of London.
Malca-Amit offers secure transport logistics for movement of jewellery, watches, precious stones, numismatics and bullion, along with vault storage for large quantities of items for businesses and private individuals.
When was UltraVault established, and what are the main safe deposit box services that UltraVault offers?
UltraVault was first launched by Malca-Amit in Hong Kong in 2016 and expanded to the UK in 2017. UltraVault is currently offered in 9 countries with 15 locations globally.

Where are the UltraVault fixed safe deposit boxes located, and what are the plans for opening new locations for fixed safe deposit boxes?
In the UK, UltraVault’s fixed safe deposit box site is located in London’s Hatton Garden. UltraVault’s portable boxes are kept at our secure vault facility near Heathrow, as well as at a vault location in Manchester, giving us nationwide coverage in the UK.
We also have two new UltraVault operations opening by end of December 2025. One of which will be in Dublin, offering both the portable and fixed safe deposit box services. The other will be in Cheshire, operating both the portable and fixed safe deposit box services 24/7.
Within the Cheshire location, we will be offering over 1,200 fixed safe deposit boxes initially, with additional storage space within the facility for storage of larger items.
Dublin will start with just over 400 fixed safe deposit boxes, and the facility will have additional storage space for larger items that won’t fit in our range of safe deposit boxes.
How does UltraVault’s portable safe deposit box service work? What sort of clients are you seeking?
Our portable UltraVault offering is a bespoke service designed to fit busy lifestyles.
The safe deposit boxes are stored at Malca-Amit’s secure vaults near Heathrow and Manchester.
When the client requests access to their UltraVault safe deposit box, it can be delivered to the client’s place of residence, hotel, work, or event in a secure, discreet and luxury manner, with white-glove service – all tailored to the client’s specific needs and requirements.
Unhindered by the fixed hours of bank vaults and safety deposit centres, our portable UltraVault service operates 24/7, 365 days a year, with minimum 24 hours’ notice.
The portable service is tailored more towards private individuals however; it is also suitable for jewellery/precious metal businesses to store and deliver their inventory.

We have a comprehensive and stringent KYC (Know Your Customer) due diligence programme which utilises global compliance and AML databases and identifies and addresses enhanced due diligence needs when applicable. Further, UltraVault employs a declared inventory list and declared value system which give us visibility on what our customers are storing with us.
We offer market leading full liability cover up to £25 million by special arrangement.
The first £150,000 of cover for our fixed safe deposit boxes is complimentary. Our Hatton Garden facility operates one client at any one time, scheduled with appointment slots. Due to security reasons, we do not allow customers to cross over as we want to protect their identity and ensure discretion.
The Dublin facility will follow suit with Hatton Garden; however, the Cheshire facility will differ slightly as it is uniquely accessible 24/7, therefore, we will have a different servicing structure put in place.
What key plans and initiatives are upcoming at UltraVault?
We have some exciting projects upcoming for UltraVault in the UK and Dublin. Our Cheshire location will have 24/7 access, which is unique for safe deposit box companies in and around the Manchester area.
Through Malca-Amit’s expert logistic services, we can transport contents stored in UltraVault safe deposit boxes across borders to locations that have a Malca-Amit presence.
Dublin will be UltraVault’s maiden appearance in Ireland and will be the first company to offer a portable safe deposit box solution in the country, servicing both the Republic and Northern Ireland.
We are starting to put into place a way to digitise our paperwork forms, to make sure that we are using less paper and make our servicing operations as efficient as possible.
