JCK Las Vegas opens its doors amid festive atmosphere
LAS VEGAS, June 1, 2019 – JCK Las Vegas has opened its doors in buoyant mood, returning to its former home in The Venetian after an eight-year stint at Mandalay Bay.
Among highlights of the show, The Plumb Club of suppliers to the U.S. jewellery, diamond and watch industries, supported by luxury market intelligence agency The Futurist, showcased jewellery under the theme ”Radiant Universe.”
Using data acquired through market research, the symbols of the Polar Star and the Sun, and the constellations, were identified as significant trending iconic motifs that resonate with the consumer.
The Plumb Club created a programme through which each member has individually expressed this theme through their own collections.
This jewellery is currently featured by the Plumb Club’s members at JCK Las Vegas, under its trademark “Radiant Universe”.
The Plumb Club Executive Director Lawrence Hess said: “We received feedback from retailers that there is a gap in our industry for aggregated, up-to-date consumer research that is valuable to them.”
He added: “We are very excited to be able not only to provide such research, but also to transform it into physical assets that will resonate in-store.”
The Plumb Club is a unique coalition of leading, responsible and important suppliers spanning all facets of the jewellery, diamond and watch industries in the United States.
Another notable feature of JCK was the high visibility of the lab grown diamond sector, highlighting the growing market impact of this segment.
The state of lab grown diamonds was the subject of “Lab Grown Diamonds: Do You or Don’t You?” a JCK Talks session on May 30, moderated by JCK news director Rob Bates.
Diamond detection services had a high profile at the show, notably recently rebranded De Beers Group Industry Services.
JCK Las Vegas runs until June 3, 2019.
