Jewellery & Watch Birmingham unveils new theme for 2015: Origins

BIRMINGHAM, England, November 26, 2014 – Jewellery & Watch Birmingham has unveiled its new theme ahead of the 2015 show, centred upon the concept of ‘Origins’.
Jewellery & Watch Birmingham unveils new theme for 2015: Origins
Distilled from the WGSN macro trends for AW15/16, the theme encompasses the essence of identity through jewellery; the meaning, personal value, attachment and memories associated with individuals’ treasured pieces.
The overarching theme of ‘Origins’ will capture the inspiration of the designer, who instils part of themselves into every piece, as well as the manufacturers, brands and distributors who build the story to engage the retailer.
The emotive theme will also follow the role of retailers, who add their own element to the story through the buying experience they provide to the consumer.
From significant events to milestones, self-rewards and timeless heirlooms, the theme will explore what it is that makes jewellery special and what it is that we, as consumers, associate with buying, wearing and handing down jewellery.
The introduction of this theme to the show will encourage engagement from designers, brands, retailers and consumers alike to share their stories.
Jewellery & Watch Birmingham will build on this across their website and social media platforms, creating an inspirational vision ahead of the February 2015 show.
At the heart of this is a striking yet primitively simple campaign featuring natural styling and minimal make-up, in which the jewellery takes precedence.
The model wears a selection of statement bangles by Mark Milton, a brand whose eponymous creator uses precious materials and traditional jewellery making techniques across his range of contemporary, yet timeless pieces.

The pieces featured include the Entwine Ruse Bracelet in 9ct yellow gold; the Entwine Web Bracelet in both 18ct yellow gold and rose gold vermeil; and the Spotlight Grace Satin Bangle in 18ct yellow gold vermeil.
The model also wears Mark Milton’s Celebration Lima Earrings, crafted from 9ct yellow gold luna quartz and diamond.
The beautifully delicate yet bold Cascade Stud Pendant necklace by Fei Liu adds to the look with its rose gold, high polish finish; while the finishing touches are completed by Fei Liu’s Whispering Doublet Rings in both yellow gold, and yellow gold and citrine.
The third image also features stunning gold rings by Alex Monroe; the first of which is the Large Chrysathymum Flower Ring from the Chrysathymum Collection, the second is the graceful Leaf Wreath Ring from the Botanical Collection.
Julie Driscoll, Portfolio Director for Jewellery & Watch Birmingham at i2i Events Group, said: “We are really excited to unveil the ‘Origins’ theme for 2015 and launch our new campaign.
“There is meaning and inspiration behind everyone’s favourite piece of jewellery or watch, and we look forward to sharing the stories of our designers, brands and audiences over the coming months.”
Jewellery & Watch Birmingham will take place from 1-5 February, 2015 at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham as part of Spring Fair.
