Jewellery & Watch Birmingham unveils shortlist for Buyers Power List

BIRMINGHAM, January 25, 2015 – Jewellery & Watch Birmingham has revealed the highly-anticipated shortlist for its annual Buyers Power List awards, sponsored by UNOde50, which have been introduced to the show’s agenda following the well-received launch in June last year.
In place to recognise and celebrate the hard work, dedication and success of individuals and buying teams across the UK jewellery and watch retail market, the awards are divided across six dedicated categories: Best Independent Retailer (less than five outlets), Best Multiple Retailer (more than six outlets), Best Department Store, Best Individual Buyer, Best Watch Retailer, and Best Heritage Site, Museum or Gallery.
The introduction of the Watch Retailer category, as well as the addition of heritage sites to the museums and galleries category, has opened up the competition to a whole host of new names for 2015.
The initial round of nominations, which was open to the public via the Jewellery & Watch Birmingham website, has resulted in a prestigious shortlist of some of the most respected names across the industry. In no particular order, the full shortlist is as follows:

The finalists will now be asked to peer-review within their category; this ranking system will identify the best buyers of 2015, as voted for by the industry. The winners will be revealed at a champagne reception in partnership with UKTI, taking place on site at Jewellery & Watch Birmingham on Monday 2nd February at 6pm.

As well as sponsoring the Buyers Power List, Spanish brand UNOde50 will exhibit at the show for the first time this year, unveiling their latest designs with the intention to further grow their international customer base ahead of their first UK store launch in April.
