Jewellery & Watch London boasts valuable seminar content for June show

London, June 2014 – A host of industry experts will take to the stage at London’s Saatchi Gallery this June to deliver a series of unmissable seminars as part of the forthcoming Jewellery & Watch London event.
Covering all aspects of the industry- from business, sales, and marketing, to the latest trends, designs and innovative technologies- the speakers will share valuable insight with the visitors, press, and buyers in attendance.
Kicking-off at 10.45am June 18, the packed first-day seminar programme features speakers from companies including Fei Liu Fine Jewellery, Roberto Coin, BERING Time, Astley Clarke and Townsend Fine Jewellers as well as industry experts from the likes of Mintel and the UK Jewellery Ethics Committee.
Another highlight of the first day of the show will be Global Luxury Goods Expert Fflur Roberts who takes to the stage at 11.15am to deliver a Global Luxury Goods Market Analysis looking at growth and business opportunities in the luxury goods sector.
Following on from winning one of the categories in the prestigious Houlden Bridal Design of the Year competition at Jewellery & Watch Birmingham in February, acclaimed jewellery designer Fei Liu will appear on the seminar stage at 12.45 together with Brand Manager Jo Henderson to talk about what the year ahead has in store for Fei Liu Fine Jewellery.
Also not-to-be-missed on the opening day of the show at 10.50am Richard Hill, UK Managing Director of BERING Time will be talking about BERING’s business in the UK as well as discussing the brand’s involvement in the inaugural BERING Buyers Power List event.
Bringing to a close a packed-day of seminar content Bec Astley Clarke MBE will be in conversation with Michael Northcott Editor of Jewellery Focus, discussing combining an offline and online business.
The first day of seminars will be introduced and hosted by Ruth Faulkner, the new Editor of Retail Jeweller.
Michael Northcott of Jewellery Focus will return to the seminar area to host the second full day of valuable industry content featuring speakers from companies including Clogau Gold, Swarovski UK Ltd, Ve Interactive, Pure Jewels and the Birmingham Assay Office.
Kicking off the second day at 11.15am Mehdi Saadian of the Gemmological Institute of America will be giving a presentation entitled Beyond the 4Cs – Colour, detailing the GIA Colour Grading System and insight into coloured diamonds.
This will be followed by a session with Ben Roberts Managing Director of Clogau Gold. As the brand celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, Ben will be looking at the importance of heritage and the company’s transformation from a niche Welsh brand to mono-branded stores in some of the world’s leading economies.
Staying with the heritage theme, Lucinda Brock Regional Manager for UK, Ireland & Scandinavia at Swarovski UK Ltd will be taking a look at Swarovski: Past and Present.
The seminar programme concludes with a panel discussion on the Key Drivers of Precious Metals, Diamonds and Gemstone Markets in 2014 featuring David Brough, Editor of Jewellery Outlook, Jayant Raniga, Brand Manager at Pure Jewels and Stella Layton, Chief Executive and Assay Master at the Birmingham Assay Office.
All of the seminars will take place in a dedicated seminar area on the first floor of London’s Saatchi Gallery, allowing visitors to the show to combine their visit with valuable insight and business advice as well as being able to visit the 100+ jewellery and watch brands, showcasing their new collections.

The National Association of Goldsmiths (N.A.G.) is to hold its Annual General Meeting at the same time as the show on June 18.
In addition to the N.A.G. AGM, Jewellery & Watch London will also play host to the final announcement of its inaugural BERING Buyers Power List.
The BERING Buyers Power List aims to recognise, celebrate and reward the individuals and companies that suppliers and peers in the jewellery and watch industry have nominated and voted for as making an outstanding difference and being highly influential in the jewellery and watch market.
