Jewellery & Watch’s Julie Driscoll wins industry award
April 2014 – Julie Driscoll, Portfolio Director for Jewellery & Watch London and Jewellery & Watch Birmingham at i2i Events Group, has been awarded Event Director of the year at the Exhibition News Awards.
These prestigious awards recognise achievements in producing the best events and exhibitions in the UK.
Julie saw off stiff competition from rival exhibition organisers to scoop this award, which praised her direction of the Jewellery & Watch London and Jewellery & Watch Birmingham events.
Julie led the team which launched Jewellery & Watch London in 2012 and under her leadership the show went on to see a 11% rise in visitor numbers in its second year and this year is relocating to a new venue at London’s Saatchi Gallery to accommodate this growth.
Jewellery & Watch is now seen as a brand of shows in its own right with the Birmingham event being given its own identity separate from Spring Fair and branded in the same way as the London show in order to offer the Jewellery & Watch industry two shows held at crucial points in the buying calendar.
Commenting on her award win, Julie said: “I am absolutely delighted to have been selected as the winner of this important industry award.
“I have a fantastic team working with me on both Jewellery & Watch London and Birmingham and this award is also testament to them and the fantastic shows we have built.”
The forthcoming edition of Jewellery & Watch London will take place at London’s Saatchi Gallery on June 18-19 with top jewellery & watch brands including Chavin Jewellery, Deakin & Francis, BQ Watches, Fei Liu Fine Jewellery, Ingenious Jewellery, Maree London, Pearl & Queenie, Lars Larsen Watches, The Fifth Season by Roberto Coin, Rosato, Bizotto Gioielli, Martin Ross Group, Lucy Q Designs, Gemmini, Wedds & Co, Sonny’s, Willow & Clo, Aurum of Jersey, Beno, Dubini, Amore & Baci, Lalique, Costantino Rota, Nomination, Kirsten Goss, Parisi Luxury Jewellery, Livyora, Amrapali, Kastur Jewels, Jerboa Jewellery, Heliopolis Accessories and RUIFIER signed up to exhibit.
