Jewellery museum launches in Vicenza

VICENZA, Italy, December 2014 – The first of its kind in Italy and one of the few museums worldwide to be dedicated exclusively to the jewel, the Museo del Gioiello (Jewellery Museum) launched in Vicenza on December 17, 2014, a permanent space of 410 square metres inside the Palladian Basilica.

The project, devised and run by Vicenza fair in partnership with Vicenza Municipality, is the result of a commitment to promote the gold and jewellery sector.
The launch of the new Museum, which opens to the public on December 24, 2014, was attended by Matteo Marzotto, President of Vicenza Fair; Corrado Facco, Managing Director of Vicenza Fair; Achille Variati, Mayor of Vicenza, and Alba Cappellieri, Director of the Museum, among others.
