BJA membership exceeds 1,100 for first time
BIRMINGHAM, England, October 1, 2013 – The British Jewellers’ Association (BJA) has exceeded 1,100 members for the first time in its history as it experiences its highest ever membership growth in one month.
With record numbers joining the BJA at this year’s IJL show, the momentum has continued and new processed applications for the month of September are in excess of 50, including a major international jewellery brand, prominent High Street multiple retailer, manufacturers, designers and independent retailers.
“I was very pleasantly surprised by the record membership intake during July, but the September results have completely taken us all by surprise,” said Simon Rainer, BJA Chief Executive.
“The new membership gains are a true testament to the work we have undertaken with our members to encourage business growth and greater exposure to new markets”, he added.
Most recently, the BJA has developed a new seminar formula: “Growing Your Business” with contributions from leading BJA members in addition to forging new ties with UKTI, introducing its Designer Showcase website and continuing to develop its highly successful mentoring programme.
