Houlden Summer event to take place on June 18-20
June 2013 – The Houlden Group looks forward to welcoming members, suppliers and guests to its Summer Management & Buying Event on 18 – 20 June 2013 in East Sussex.
Chief Executive, Stuart Laing said, “Experience tells us that success is based on many factors but perhaps the most important key to success is having a strong, motivated and knowledgeable team in place.
“As well as introducing new training seminars for our members we are also continuing to inspire members at our Annual Events with influential speakers.
“This year we are particularly pleased to welcome Amanda Lindsay who will offer a session on ‘Accelerated Learning’ and our keynote speaker, Phillip Hesketh, known for his entertaining style, will encourage us with his address, “How to Succeed When Others are Failing”.
Houlden is introducing a series of informal mini-workshops on issues affecting the independent retailer and industry as a whole covering a range of topics including branding and marketing.
The ’Stadium Sell’ session is back by popular demand. Invited suppliers are given the opportunity to “pitch” their product to a discerning audience.
With over 150 suppliers, members often need to be reminded about the latest ranges, launches or services being offered and the Stadium Sell is a great way for suppliers to do this.
During the three day event Houlden Group members and guests will also be able to view the latest jewellery and watch ranges from over 80 suppliers, including those who have signed up to Houlden during 2013.
Being in one room the two-day Suppliers Exhibition provides a good opportunity for members to meet and interact with the suppliers and make those crucial sales.
The 2013 Houlden Designs of Excellence Collection is proving very popular with both press and consumers as it tours around the country and before it goes on exhibition at Hartmanns of Galway in Ireland will also be making an appearance at the Summer Meeting.
