Wallace Chan’s exquisite jewellery sculptures showcased at Masterpiece London for first time
LONDON, July 2016 – Exquisite jewellery and gem-set sculptures from celebrated Hong Kong-based designer Wallace Chan were a highlight of Masterpiece London, a leading art and design fair.
Exhibiting at Masterpiece for the first time, Wallace Chan unveiled around 40 unique jewellery creations, including a meticulously crafted 2.2-metre tall titanium-gemstone sculpture of a peony and butterflies.
The pistil is composed of rubies, citrines and amethysts.
“The vibrant colours express the beauty of a happy, blossoming soul,” Wallace Chan said.
“Butterflies are taking flight from the petals. Tiny buds radiate the vitality of new life ready to bloom.”
Every aspect of the stand, from lighting to display design, was curated and created by Wallace and his team to showcase the universe of Wallace Chan to visitors to the fair.
The VIP Preview attracted more than 8,000 collectors and art lovers from all over the world.
Masterpiece London is a leading fair for art, antiques and design, and has become a must-attend event in the heart of London every summer.
Masterpiece took place from June 28 to February 6, 2016.
