Just Diamonds accepted as supplier to The Hallmark Jewellers buying group
August 28, 2018 – Just Diamonds, a Birmingham-based supplier of certificated diamonds with unique buying software, has been accepted as an approved supplier to The Hallmark Jewellers (THJ) buying group of independent retailers.
Last month Just Diamonds was accepted as an approved supplier to the Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ), the UK and Ireland’s largest buying group.
Just Diamonds’ software allows customers visiting a brick-and-mortar jewellery shop to choose from a vast range of certified white polished diamonds at highly competitive prices.
THJ is a co-operative of independent jewellers and is one of the largest independent buying groups: it gathers 28 members who currently have 39 retail stores in the UK and Ireland.
“In the very short time we have been trading, we have gained wide industry recognition. The trade has acknowledged that our business model is completely innovative and competitive,” said Dinesh Parekh, director of Just Diamonds.
“This is the second buying group who have accepted us. It shows the confidence the trade has in our software, competitiveness and our vision to be better.”
THJ, whose membership includes Ashby Jewellers of Ashby-de-la-Zouch, McKellars Jewellers of Lanark, and Hallmark the Jewellers of Redcar, is looking to grow its membership, and plans to raise its profile with a new website soon.
Dinesh will be on hand at IJL (International Jewellery London) in Olympia from September 2-4 to present Just Diamonds’ software to visitors (stand number P85).
“IJL will hopefully give us more exposure as our business model is innovative,” he said.
“This is our first international show. Our software developed for our customers in Ireland can now show prices in euros: we can expand this to other EU countries.”
Just Diamonds’ software, bearing the retailer’s logo, can be used on the shop floor in the presence of the retail customer.
The retailer has full control of the margins and the RRP is what the retail customer sees.
“There is full pricing transparency for the retailer and his customer,” Dinesh said.
Most of the diamonds presented to the customer have 3D videos and images.
“The software is easy to use. The important thing is that the salesperson needs to know the basics about diamonds,” Dinesh added.
Just Diamonds offers free training sessions to clients.
The software works on all formats of hardware such as mobile, tablet, laptop or PC, and on OS or android.
“Customers can choose from at least 100,000 diamonds. It is not unusual to see 200,000. We source from diamonds all over the world,” Dinesh said.
“We are very selective about who we deal with and which diamonds are offered on the software.
“We take into consideration many factors such as competitive pricing, honesty of data from suppliers, reliability of suppliers to deliver as agreed, and so on.”
Most diamonds offered by Just Diamonds are certified by GIA. Some stones are certified by IGI and HRD.
Deliveries take between one and eight working days.
