Lucapa Diamond Company to offer two huge diamonds at sale in October
September 30, 2016 – Lucapa Diamond Company plans to offer two huge diamonds in excess of 100 carats at a sale in October, Rapaport News reported.
The sale will feature the 172-carat and 104-carat D-colour diamonds recovered earlier this month from its Lulo mine in Angola, following a string of large discoveries at the deposit.
The “exceptional” D-colour, type-IIa 172-carat diamond was the latest “special” stone of more than 10.8 carats to come from the mine’s alluvial operations.
Lucapa discovered the 104-carat, type-IIa D-colour diamond at the mine earlier this month.
