Luxury About J event to take place in Italy
VICENZA, Italy, July 2012 – VICENZAORO will be back in September with two international events – the luxury About J show, and the VICENZAORO Fall trade fair.
The starting date of VICENZAORO About J in Cortina d’Ampezzo, an exclusive invitation-only event, is September 5.
About J was created by Vicenza Fair and is reserved for high-end Italian and international jewellery.
This edition will take place at the Grand Hotel Savoia where 23 prestigious Italian and foreign brands, leaders of Italian and international haute couture jewellery, will showcase their collections to a select audience of international and Italian buyers.
Gianmaria Buccellati will be Guest of Honour.
On September 8, the VICENZAORO About J Community will travel to Vicenza Fair for the opening of VICENZAORO Fall, the autumn edition of the international gold and jewellery show.
Some 1,400 exhibitors from Italian goldsmithing districts and 30 foreign countries will be present.
The theme of the show, which is aimed at Italian and international retail buyers, is “Creativity 5.0” – how to re-invent savoir faire with new tools, using technology and new distribution methods.
Manufacturing creativity needs to be enriched and structured with a series of new skills: understanding the market, research into trends, attention to contemporaneity, cross-fertilization with art, design and fashion, connectivity, web marketing and new distribution strategies.
One of the events planned for the autumn edition of VICENZAORO is the presentation of TrendBook 2014, a summary of work by Trend Vision Jewellery + Forecasting, an independent research authority for gold and jewellery trends, sponsored by Vicenza Fair.
Looking 18 months ahead, the Book will present an analysis of the broad trends that will influence consumer choice.
Palazzo Bonin Longare will host the “Souvenir d’Italie – Souvenir Jewellery from Memory and Design“ exhibition. The three winning designs and jewellery items from the other 17 finalists in the “Next Jeneration – Jewellery Talent Contest 2012” will be on display.
VICENZAORO Fall will see the launch of the second edition of the “Next Jeneration – Jewellery Talent Contest” in collaboration with Milan Polytechnic’s Faculty of Design.
The theme for 2013 is “Porte Bonheur. Contemporary amulets and lucky charms”.
The second edition of the international “Andrea Palladio Jewellery Awards” will also be announced.
The first edition saw awards presented to designers like Giampaolo Babetto and Gjis Bakker and to brands including Crivelli, Van Cleef & Arpels and Cartier.
