Masterpiece London saw record attendance of 40,000 and strong sales

LONDON, July 3, 2015 – Masterpiece London 2015 saw strong sales to private collectors and international institutions, across many categories of luxury from jewellery to important furniture and clocks.

The fair saw record visitor numbers of 40,000, a significant increase on 2014, and an influx of international collectors, a number of whom said that they had flown into London to enjoy Masterpiece Week and the capital at the height of the season.
In the jewellery sector, Symbolic & Chase sold highlights including a pair of diamond earrings by SABBA, a black opal and emerald ring and a ruby and diamond bracelet by Boucheron.
Jewellery exhibitors included Theo Fennell, Wartski (whose highlights included an exquisite, early 20th century Fabergé sapphire and diamond necklace), and Chatila.
Celebrity visitors to the fair included Laurence Graff, Mila Kunis, Paul Smith and Liz Hurley.
