IWC Big Pilot lands at Watches of Switzerland
LONDON, December 2011 – IWC has unveiled the latest special edition in its Big Pilot range, the Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar Edition 2011 in 18-carat rose gold – which will be available exclusively in the UK at Watches of Switzerland’s Manchester and New Bond Street showrooms, from December 2011.
Just 250 of the limited-edition timepieces have been produced worldwide, 9 of which will be available in the UK, only from Watches of Switzerland.
Its stunning dial combines the Big Pilot’s characteristic cockpit-style design with the intricate display of the perpetual calendar.
A black/sand beige dial and moon phase display – complete with aeroplane silhouettes to indicate the state of the moon in the northern and southern hemispheres – make the piece immediately recognisable to collectors as a special edition.
Its outstanding technical features include a mechanical perpetual calendar showing the year in four digits, a seven day power reserve and the IWC-manufactured 51614 calibre with Pellaton winding system.
The Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar Edition 2011 is available exclusively in the UK at the Watches of Switzerland for £32,500.
