ANTWERP, September 7, 2010 – More than 80 Antwerp diamond companies will be exhibiting in the Antwerp Diamond Pavilion at the September 14-18 Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair, making it the largest national pavilion at the event.
The AWDC has again secured a prime location at the fair for Antwerp diamond dealers, with 84 Antwerp companies exhibiting at the largest trade show in Asia, home to the largest diamond pavilion worldwide.
The Hong Kong show takes place in two venues: the AsiaWorld-Expo, for diamonds, pearls, gemstones and equipment, where the AWDC pavilion is located in Hall 5, takes place from September 14-18.
Meanwhile, at the second location, the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre for finished jewellery, the show runs September 16-20.
In recognition of the importance of the Hong Kong show and the Asian market, AWDC is an official sponsor of the Opening Reception at AsiaWorld-Expo on September 14.
In addition, AWDC CEO Freddy J. Hanard will be one of the guests at a special press conference on September 16, staged by show organisers UBM at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.
“As the diamond and jewellery industries know well, this is one of the most important shows on their calendar,” said AWDC CEO Freddy J. Hanard.
“It’s definitely a must-attend event for Antwerp diamond companies and therefore AWDC traditionally sets up a large pavilion.
“The September Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair is known for the large amount of business transacted. And that is one of the reasons it is so popular with exhibitors and buyers. The AWDC national pavilion provides buyers with an opportunity to see the wide range of diamonds Antwerp produces in an efficient way.”
