Antwerp Diamond Symposium to take place on Nov 16
November 12, 2009 – The 2009 Antwerp Diamond Symposium, which will take place in Antwerp on November 16, will examine the state of the diamond markets and their prospects as the global economy starts along the path toward recovery.
The event, organised by the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC), will feature leading industry speakers from the key mining groups – De Beers, Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton and Alrosa – as well as from leading banks in the diamond business.
The Antwerp Diamond Symposium will focus on rough diamond supply, polished demand, financial issues and generic marketing.
“The global economy has undergone far-reaching changes that have reached into every industry,” said Freddy J. Hanard, CEO of the AWDC.
“We want to know exactly how these changes are affecting the diamond business. We need to look forward to see how we need to adapt as a trade in order to stay relevant to the needs and requirements of consumers.”
