BKP Jewels launches online business
LONDON, November 28, 2010 – BKP Jewels has launched a large collection of jewellery featuring South Asian styles crossing into the Western market, for purchase online.
“We have a larger range online than most other jewellery online presences in the UK. The last time I counted there were nearly 500 items,” Kewal Singh Panessar, the owner of London-based BKP Jewels which launched in July 2010, told Jewellery Outlook at his stand at the Asian Wedding Exhibition this month.
Retail price points range from 6 to 300 pounds, encompassing earrings, necklace and pendant sets, bridal sets, and a broad range of cocktail rings.
“Eventually our aim is to go upmarket and go into semi-precious and precious stones,” Singh Panessar said.
He said BKP planned to develop its own exclusive designs that merge Eastern and Western styles.
“We want to get to a point where a girl could wear pieces either at an Indian function or at a Western function,” he said.
