Bulgari posts first full-year loss in 26 years
March 16, 2010 – Rome-based luxury jeweller Bulgari, hit by the global economic downturn, has posted a 2009 net loss of 47.1 million euros, its first full-year loss in 26 years.
Bulgari posted a fourth-quarter net loss of 13.6 million euros as restructuring costs weighed. It was the group’s third quarterly loss in 2009 after it reported a net profit of 7 million euros in the third quarter.
Bulgari posted a net profit of 82.9 million euros in full-year 2008.
