GJEPC presents India Pavilion at BASELWORLD
BASEL, Switzerland, March 11, 2012 – The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) hosted 47 top Indian exhibitors at the India Pavilion at BASELWORLD.
Handpicked by the GJEPC, the exhibitors at Hall 6 showcased the best of Indian innovation promoting India as a centre of design excellence.
India’s expertise is also being showcased at the India Palace, Booth H40 at Hall 2.
Different regions of India boast of jewellery making techniques that are unique to them, offering a variety of styles.
GJEPC Chairman Rajiv Jain said, “India’s gem and jewellery exports showed an increase of 21 percent in 2011. With our participation at BASELWORLD, the Council aims at increasing trade with India.
“This year the exhibits will portray high standards of craftsmanship along with unmatched creativity and promote India as being the Ultimate Design Destination.”
