LONDON, June 8, 2010 – London Jewellery Week staged an event in association with Jaguar cars and the Green Street luxury jewellers of east London today to support the children’s charity NSPCC.
London Jewellery Week, which runs from June 7-13 to celebrate London’s jewellery design and manufacturing talent, is staging a prize draw with the support of Jaguar in aid of the NSPCC as part of its Jewellery For Future Generations campaign.
Jewellers of the Green Street Jewellers’ Assocation (GSJA), which groups almost two dozen South Asian jewellers located in east London, gave a jewellery piece comprising white agate, yellow quartz, and yellow gold set with pave diamonds, and a white gold chain, finished off with a yellow gold charm, as a gift to the NSPCC.
The jewellery set, whose design is inspired by raindrops, is expected to be auctioned off at a later date to raise funds for the children’s charity, said Vikram Santilal, Vice Chairman of the GSJA.
Dozens of VIP guests admired the latest Jaguar XJ at a cocktail event held in a Jaguar showroom in Knightsbridge, central London during London Jewellery Week to support the NSPCC.
