IDI to Honor Varda Shine at Sept Hong Kong Fair
Ramat Gan, Israel, September 12, 2011 – Varda Shine, CEO of the Diamond Trading Company, will be honored at the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair, opening next week, when she is inducted into the IDI League of Honor by Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI) Chairman Moti Ganz.
The award will be presented to Ms. Shine at the invitation-only Fair Reception on September 19 at 18:30 at the Asia World-Expo Arena Kitchen.
The reception is being sponsored by IDI, which is a central participant in the Fair, with 105 exhibitors in two separate Israel Diamond Pavilions.
In addition to Ms. Shine and Mr. Ganz, newly-elected Israel Diamond Exchange President Yair Sahar will speak at the reception.
Invitees to the reception are Fair exhibitors and leaders of the jewelry industry.
The IDI League of Honor was established to honor the contribution of heads of state and government ministers to the global diamond industry.
However, according to IDI, Ms. Shine’s contribution, especially in bringing social change to communities around the world, is such that she is worthy of this recognition.
On September 19, the Israeli Consul General in Hong Kong Amikam Levy will attend the opening ceremony of the Fair and will visit the Israeli Diamond Pavilions.
The Israel Diamond Pavilions are located in AWE Hall 7 & 9 and in Hall 10.
In addition to the exhibitors in the pavilions, there will be 20 Israeli companies showing in separate booths throughout the show.
IDI will have an image booth at the heart of each pavilion to provide information on the Israeli Diamond Industry and help guide buyers through the pavilion.
The Israeli pavilions can be accessed virtually through the link to a special mini-site. http://www.israelidiamond.co.il/Exhibition/map.aspx?id=22
The mini-site includes maps of the pavilions, as well as contact details of all Israeli exhibitors, including those not participating in the pavilion.
As an additional expression of its key role at the September fair, IDI has joined organizers UBM in creating a special supplement about the Israeli Diamond Industry participants, which will be distributed at the show.
The supplement will also be distributed with the Jewellery News Asia September Show issue to its regular subscribers.
