Israeli industry brings record exhibitors to IIJS January

IIJS Signature Show
Ramat Gan, Israel, December 22, 2010 – The Israeli Diamond Industry is bringing a record number of Israeli exhibitors to the IIJS Signature Show in Mumbai, to be held January 7 – 10, 2011.

An Israel Diamond Pavilion, organised by the Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI), will be located in the International Hall and will include 16 Israeli companies.
IDI sources said that although this is the first time the show is being held in Mumbai in January, interest in exhibiting in the show was high and space was limited.

The companies exhibiting are:  AG Diamond Direct Ltd., Arabov Group Ltd., Avi Paz Group, David Levy Diamonds, Eliyahu Yona Diamonds Ltd., Hausman Diamond Manufacturers, Julius Klein – Eliaz Diamonds, Leo Schachter, MID House of Diamonds, Moshe Levy Diamonds, Ofer Mizrahi Diamonds Ltd., S. Juwal & Co., Sahar Atid, Shirtal Diamonds Ltd., Shlomo Bichachi Diamonds Ltd. and the Yakubov Group. For some of the companies this is their first time exhibiting in India.

IDI Chairman Moti Ganz said that India was very attractive market for the Israeli Diamond Industry for both manufacturing and trading.
For that reason, he said, IDI plans to deepen its involvement in the Indian diamond and jewellery sector.
“We are committed to expanding Israel’s diamond trade with this enormous and growing market,” he said.

IDI Deputy Managing Director Nissim Palomo said that IDI was actively supporting the enhancement of trade connections between the two diamond industries.

“In addition to this exhibition, we will be participating in two more shows in India in 2011. Although IIJS Signature in its current location is new, we are coming there with a large contingent and great hopes.
“The Israeli Diamond Industry sees the diamond and jewellery sector in India as a strategic partner for cooperation. We look forward to strengthening the ties between the industries in the coming IIJS show,” he said.
