Ramat Gan, Israel, July 27, 2009 – Moti Ganz has been re-elected unanimously as Chairman of the Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI) for an additional three-year term.
Moti Ganz also serves as President of the Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association (IsDMA) and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA).
After being re-elected on July 26, Ganz said, “I am grateful to the Board of Directors for this vote of confidence, and promise to continue to act for the betterment of the diamond industry.”
During his term as IDI Chairman, and especially since the beginning of the international economic crisis, Ganz has served the industry, working with government authorities and the banks in Israel in order to find solutions to the credit crunch.
On an international level, Ganz made great efforts to bring about a global generic marketing campaign for diamonds, which is now being put into place with the establishment of the International Diamond Board.
Moti Ganz is the owner of MOTIGANZ DIAMOND GROUP, one of the leading diamond exporters in Israel today.
A second-generation diamantaire, Ganz has been active in public life in the diamond industry since 1989. He has been President of IsDMA since February 2004 and President of IDMA since May 2008.
