LONDON, March 14, 2010 – The UK’s largest buying group, The Company of Master Jewellers, has expanded its executive team as a result of rapid growth over the past 12 months.
With a membership of over 125 retailers and over 205 shops, The Company of Master Jewellers has grown by 30 percent in the past year.
As a result of this growth, The Board of Directors agreed to a reduction in the number of Directors and the strengthening of the executive team, under the leadership of CEO Willie Hamilton, to further develop the Group.
Former Editor of Retail Jeweller magazine, Sarah Carpin has joined the executive team under contract as Marketing and Communications Executive.
Speaking about the appointment, Willie Hamilton said: “Sarah brings a wealth of jewellery knowledge, extensive journalistic and marketing experience, along with a true level of respect from within the jewellery industry.
“Sarah has recognised the growth and future potential within our group and will now join our executive team to develop our retail and supplier partnerships even further.”
Sarah Carpin has previously worked on Retail Jeweller magazine, TJF (Trends Jewellery Forecasting) and The Basel magazine. Alongside her work in partnership with The Company of Master Jewellers, she will be developing her own jewellery media and consulting business.
