Mattia Cielo to open shop in Milan’s Via Montenapoleone
VICENZA, Italy, May 22, 2011 – Italian luxury brand Mattia Cielo plans to open a standalone boutique in the fashionable Via Montenapoleone in central Milan in the first week of September 2011.
The boutique, expected to attract footfall from luxury shoppers from around the world, will have two 60-square-metre storeys — on the ground floor and basement. The basement will accommodate an atelier, the brand’s owner Mattia Cielo said.
“Our planned Via Montenapoleone store is not so much an investment in Italy — Via Montenapoleone is one of the top 5 luxury shopping streets in the world,” Cielo told Jewellery Outlook in a reference to other high-end shopping hubs such as Bond Street in London, Fifth Avenue in New York and Place Vendome in Paris.
Mattia Cielo, celebrated for its cutting-edge designs, use of new technologies and innovative materials such as titanium, will sell its latest collections in the new store, which typically range from 5,000 to 50,000 euros, as well as a planned entry line to be priced from 1,000 to 5,000 euros.
Wealthy clients will be welcome to discuss bespoke, or custom-made, orders in the atelier which will offer a range of jewellery personal services.
Mattia Cielo’s upmarket brand uses the latest technology in combination with light and movement to appeal to the modern sophisticated woman who appreciates culture and the Arts.
Using the recognised design skills of Massimiliano Bonoli, Mattia Cielo’s unique pieces are a high-end alternative for the self-confident woman who spurns status symbols in favour of showing her appreciation for modern art and her own distinctive style.
Cielo said the Mattia Cielo Via Montenapoleone store would be able to accept bespoke commissions for men’s jewellery for the first time.
