India’s state-owned miner finds 34.37-carat diamond
BHOPAL, India, July 11, 2010 – India’s state-run National Mineral Development Corporation has found a 34.37-carat diamond in Madhya Pradesh’s Panna district, the Press Trust of India has reported.
“This was the biggest diamond found at Asia’s single mechanised diamond mines in Panna operated by National Mineral Development Corporation,” Panna NDMC Project Manager C.E. Kindo told PTI.
The Corporation had earlier found a 32-carat diamond at its Panna mine.
