German manufacturers win “Platinum Promenade” awards

MUNICH, Germany, February 2012 – German manufacturers Ehinger-Schwarz, Niessing, Gebrueder Schaffrath and schmuckwerk, won the “Platinum Promenade” 2012 design awards, chosen by an international jury, at the INHORGENTA MUNICH trade fair earlier this month.
The Winner in the “Platinum Jewellery” Category

“Lilian” platinum collection from Ehinger-Schwarz, Ulm, Germany.
With this collection, Wolf-Peter Schwarz pays homage to his Swedish mother-in-law Ing-Marie Lilliehöök.

The stonework tracery in the Gothic windows of Ulm’s cathedral inspired Wolf-Peter Schwarz to create the haute joaillerie line from Ehinger-Schwarz 1876.
Each of these windows is different and unique.
Fine brilliant-cut diamonds and aquamarines conjure a magical sparkle in the pieces of jewellery in this collection – like light that refracts when it shines through the cathedral’s windows.
“A real eye-catcher” was the jury’s judgement.
The Winner in the “Platinum Wedding Ring” Category

“Platinum Wedding Ring System” from Niessing, Vreden, Germany.

“We want to offer nothing but premium products to our premium customers and to make their purchase of wedding rings an unforgettable experience. Exclusive platinum wedding rings in a clearly structured system, together with first-rate advice and service, are fundamental,” says Thomas Nuenning, Niessing’s marketing director, referring to the “Platinum” system.

The jury said: “With this well-thought-out wedding ring system, Niessing logically strives to meet the needs of discriminating customers. Outstandingly well structured and didactically convincing”
The Winner in the “Platinum Engagement Ring or Tri-set” Category

“Vendetta Cielo” platinum tri-set with interchangeable red corundum; lady’s rings with diamonds; from Gebrueder Schaffrath, Hanau, Germany.

The jury’s opinion: “This platinum tri-set is simultaneously classical and special. The red corundum harmonizes with the white platinum and is only noticed at second glance on the wearer’s finger. This chromatic accent is distinctive, yet also classically unostentatious.”
Winner of the Visitors’ Prize for “Platinum Favourite of 2012”

Platinum chain ring, completely set with brilliant-cut diamonds, from schmuckwerk, Ratingen, Germany.

The special feature: when they’re inserted toward one another, the individual elements in the chains create a ring, which can be instantly transformed into an elegant bracelet simply by adding another element.

Five, seven or nine rings mesh with one another, extend broadly or grow together.
Jewellery becomes an exciting experience, simultaneously simple and playful.
