Watches aficionados pack into QP Salon
LONDON, November 13, 2011 – Watches aficionados, jewellers and celebrities including Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood packed into the launch of the Salon QP fine watches exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery in central London on November 10.
Leading brands such as Cartier, Piaget and Jaeger-leCoultre showed off their latest watches to collectors and media.
Ronnie Wood attended the launch of Salon QP to promote his artistic collaboration with Bremont watches.
In late summer 2011 Bremont’s Nick and Giles English announced that they would be collaborating with Wood to create 14 unique ‘Art Clock’ versions of the B1 Marine Clock that was launched at last year’s Salon QP.
As well as the established brands, Salon QP this year featured independent exhibitors, including John Isaac watches, which appeal to the ‘new generation’ of watch buyers – elliptical dials, soft curves, big numerals and strong colours make the pieces instantly recognisable.
