Salon Vendome – new fine jewellery show in Shanghai in October
March, 2012 – A new fine jewellery show targeted mainly at the end consumer will take place at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre from October 25-28, 2012, organisers said.
The event will be an opportunity for high-net-worth Chinese women to shop for leading luxury international jewellery brands.
“We will have around 30-40 brands. Five percent will be already established brands in China, and the rest will be foreign brands that wish to come to China,” senior project manager Florence Robert told Jewellery Outlook.
“Now the Chinese market for fine jewellery is more mature. We have more and more wealthy women who can buy jewellery for themelves.”
Robert said Chinese end consumers were looking to discover new luxury brands that were not already well established in China.
The event will include sophisticated social events, including afternoon tea parties for VIP guests, and a masked ball.
Salon Vendome, named after the elegant Place Vendome jewellery quarter in Paris, will also include a B2B event on day two.
