Houlden announces deal with TAG Heuer
May 5, 2011 – The UK’s longest established jewellery and watch buying organisation, Houlden Group, has announced a unique deal with TAG Heuer for its members.
A limited edition watch from the brand has been made available exclusively for Houlden Group members to sell in their stores.
The timepiece, a Carrera Calibre 16 Chronograph, has a black carbon fibre effect dial and a stainless steel and curved sapphire crystal glass case with double-sided anti-reflective treatment.
The elegant and practical watch also has a black alligator strap with red stitching.
The exclusive deal is a result of the Houlden Group’s Supplier Ambassador Programme in which building stronger partnerships with key suppliers and exploring innovative ways of working together are the main aims.
Houlden Group’s supplier ambassador for TAG Heuer, Barry McCahon from Lunns, commented on this fantastic exclusive for members: “Not only is this watch available exclusively for Houlden Group members, it is also a limited edition piece making it an immediate must-stock product.
“The watch itself is stunning but also very wearable and timeless. It is a terrific opportunity to stock a watch from a world renowned brand that cannot be bought from any rival jewellers.”
Houlden member firm Beards was one of the first to get the watch in and sold two of them within hours.
Alex Rose, Managing Director of Beards, which has stores in London and Cheltenham, said: “The TAG Heuer exclusive watch is a fantastic initiative and one of the real benefits of being a Houlden member. The watch proved to be extremely popular with our customers which is a good indicator that other members will have the same success.”
Stuart Laing, Chief Executive of the Houlden Group, said: “It is with great pleasure that we have been able to offer this exclusive and exciting product to our member businesses as part of our Supplier Ambassador Programme. Through this we have been working hard to forge closer relationships with our suppliers and we are now reaping the rewards.”
