Van Cleef & Arpels opens in Selfridges London
LONDON, August 13, 2011 – Paris-based luxury jeweller Van Cleef & Arpels has opened a boutique in Selfridges, one of London’s leading department stores.
Occupying a prime spot in the Selfridges Wonder Room on the ground floor of the Oxford Street emporium, the new Van Cleef & Arpels boutique has dark wood and lush eau du Nil carpeted floors, soft curtains and silk-satin covered Art Deco inspired furniture.
To celebrate this new partnership with Selfridges, Van Cleef & Arpels created a new Magic Alhambra set, comprising a long sautoir and three motif earrings in rich yellow gold and deep green malachite, the colour combination inspired by the Vintage Alhambra necklace offered by Prince Rainier to Princess Grace of Monaco in the 1970s.
