Pandora wins design award from Company of Master Jewellers
BIRMINGHAM, England, February 9, 2013 – Pandora has been awarded the Company of Master Jewellers’ trophy for Best Jewellery Collection at The Jewellery Show Birmingham.
The annual award from the UK’s biggest buying group is voted by CMJ retail buyers who attend The Jewellery Show at Birmingham’s NEC.
The CMJ chief executive Willie Hamilton said, “This award shows how impressed our retail members are by Pandora’s new designs, which have been highly praised both for their commercial and aesthetic appeal.”
Accepting the trophy on behalf of Pandora, the brand’s European President Peter Andersen said: “Winning the Design Award from CMJ is an honour because it is recognition of the hard work and excellence of our team. We have really listened to our customers and to the end consumer and created a collection that reflected their wishes, so I feel very proud to receive this award.”
The new spring collection is in full bloom at PANDORA, a season of fine, accessible jewellery enhanced by the delicate detail of cherry blossoms and fairy tales. The new assortment is wildly romantic with glittering charms, rose coloured pearls and pretty pastel hued enamel flowers. This is followed by a summer and pre-autumn collection including a signature sterling silver bangle, which is simple yet striking and a new selection of colourful leather bracelets.
Pandora beat a shortlist that included new jewellery collections from Bering, Unique Jewelry, Daisy Jewellery, APM Monaco and Brown & Newirth, who were Highly Commended for the new Pink Champagne Collection launched at the show.
This annual award given out by The CMJ is in its third year. Previous winners have been UK designer Babette Wasserman and European fine jewellery brand Tirisi Moda.
