Fehmida Lakhany, a London-based luxury jewellery designer, is inspired by beauty in the natural world, protecting the environment and family.
A highlight of her most recent collections is Zubeida, influenced by her mother Zubeida’s love of Burmese rubies.

“Each piece is poetry in gems, a wearable art form,” Fehmida says.
Drawing on her family’s gemstone trading story, and time spent with exceptional craftspeople, Fehmida has a discerning eye – she personally selects each precious stone.

“When I play with gemstones, I seek to create designs that bring to life the unique characteristics of each stone and recreate them into an object of desire and beauty.”
Fehmida’s artistry is inspired by natural order and a passion for the environment.
The stones she uses are traceable from the mine.
Fehmida’s ethically-sourced Butterfly earring creation in 2020 was part of the “Walk for Giants” capsule collection made for a leading international conservation charity, Space for Giants.
Fehmida joined a collaboration with coloured gemstone miner Gemfields to support the conservation of African landscapes and wildlife.
