PGI hosts training event at London’s Goldsmiths’ Centre
LONDON, May 26, 2012 – A training event on May 22, hosted by Platinum Guild International, gave retailers the chance to learn skills and techniques to sell platinum jewellery and boost their profits.
This was the first time that Goldsmiths’ Centre had hosted such an event.
A private tour of on-site workshop facilities was organised for delegates to give them a behind the scenes glimpse of the additional skill and time needed for platinum jewellery production.
Jay Lakha of Hirji Lakha Jewellers in Wembley, London, said, “I’ve had a full walk through platinum’s heritage and qualities and have picked up new techniques for upselling to platinum.”
The dedicated retailer training is available to PGI’s Recommended Retailers and at £50 per delegate offers value for money and an effective opportunity to upskill staff and secure higher value sales.
