Why is GemGenève a “must attend” event?

The third edition of GemGenève from November 5-8, 2020, will showcase an extraordinary variety of gemstones and jewellery, both contemporary and antique.

GemGenève will also feature the prestigious Designer Vivarium curated by celebrated jewellery historian Vivienne Becker, with a selection of extremely talented jewellery designers.

Considering the Covid-19 pandemic, will the show have all the necessary precautions in place to protect the safety of visitors and exhibitors?

The event will take place entirely in line with official Swiss guidelines. The health of visitors and exhibitors is our paramount concern.

GemGenève is expected to coincide with the Sotheby’s and Christie’s Magnificent Jewellery auctions in Geneva in November. Why is this advantageous for visitors to GemGenève?

Visitors to GemGenève will have the advantage not only of access to our event with its well laid out displays of gemstones and jewellery. They will also be able to attend the auctions in the same period. It makes for a fabulous opportunity to see a great variety of goods in one trip!

From your own business’s perspective, how has the high-end coloured gemstones market fared during this extraordinary period?

In the last two weeks we have seen strong demand for important coloured gemstones, including sapphires, coloured diamonds and rubies. We have also seen demand for antique jewellery for daily use.
