Rodney Rayner unveils Treasure Island and Sea Urchin collections at Baselworld
BASEL, March 19, 2015 – UK designer Rodney Rayner unveiled his colourful Treasure Island and Sea Urchin collections at Baselworld 2015 and immediately captured strong buyer interest.
The Treasure Island pieces feature large, unusually shaped centre stones, including moonstone and rose quartz, while the Sea Urchin jewels reveal a design trend for two separate ring heads, and are adorned with signature Rodney Rayner “bold and beautiful” stones.
The Treasure Island pieces responded to feedback from customers seeking larger centre stones, while the Sea Urchin collection was inspired by sea urchins seen by Rodney after sailing holidays in Belize and Tahiti.
The Treasure Island, Sea Urchin and Starburst ranges achieved an order from a mid-European retailer on the first day of Baselworld.
Rodney is now planning to develop earrings in the Sea Urchin range.
