Strong turnout at International Jewellery London
LONDON, September 2015 – Turnout by retailers was strong on the first day of International Jewellery London (IJL) on Sunday, September 6, 2015, with independents well-represented from across the country.
Large queues formed outside the building at Olympia Grand before the 10 a.m. start of the three-day show.
Among the highlights of the first day, Domino’s Rebecca Neill picked up her prize for her Stella Una bangle in the BJA competition.
Seminars were well-attended, with Jewellery Outlook’s editor moderating discussions on the outlook for precious metals and gemstone markets in 2016, and on the challenges to the industry posed by undisclosed lab-grown diamonds.
The evening drinks for exhibitors, diamond club members and press were well attended with IJL Event Director Sam Willoughby cutting a cake to mark the show’s 60th diamond jubilee year.
