Stylesight to present award for KickStart designer at IJL
LONDON, July 25, 2012 – Global forecast and analysis service Stylesight will present an award to a KickStart designer at International Jewellery London 2012 – the KickStart Trend Award.
The prize will be a year’s subscription to the innovative trend service, worth $8,500.
The award was launched at the 2011 show. Designer Claire English won the prize.
Nearly a year on, Claire English said: “I found Stylesight to be a marvellous way to interact with the web and do research.
“I will be bringing some mood boards created in Stylesight to IJL with me this year when I exhibit with my own stand.
“These two-dimensional visual mind maps will enrich and support understanding of what trends my new Tooth & Claw collection feeds into and where I drew my inspirations from.”
Stylesight provides content, tools and technology for creative professionals in the style and design industries, combining visionary trend forecasting and indispensable analysis with an online workspace designed to help analyse and anticipate the ever-changing marketplace.
“KickStart already provides an excellent commercial launch pad for promising new designers, and this prize provides an additional fantastic creative platform for the IJL KickStart designer selected for the special award,” said Event Director Sam Willoughby.
“All of the designers tend to be very trend aware and forward-thinking so this invaluable tool is the ideal prize for such an award.”
KickStart, supported by the British Jewellers’ Association, is a bursary scheme for talented new designers who are selected to exhibit on a group stand at leading jewellery trade show IJL.
International Jewellery London takes place from 2-5 September 2012 at Earls Court, London. It is organised by Reed Exhibitions.
