Theo Fennell chief quits as recession hits expansion goal
LONDON, April 2, 2009 – Theo Fennell has parted company with chief executive Pamela Harper and welcomed back Barbara Snoad, after the global recession hit the luxury jeweller’s expansion plans.
Harper, recognised for having turned around the Burberry brand, had joined the jeweller in 2007 aiming to expand the group globally.
But the severity of the global economic downturn instead forced a downsizing.
Barbara Snoad, Ms Harper’s predecessor who has been working recently as a luxury goods consultant, is now expected to focus on Theo Fennell’s core jewellery business.
