Guided by the longstanding experience of its founders and supported by a small, young and enthusiastic team, GemGenève, created by exhibitors for exhibitors, sets a free-spirited stage where passion, expertise and education merge.
WE ARE GEMGENÈVE
Founded in 2018 by Geneva-based gem and jewellery dealers Ronny Totah and Thomas Faerber, GemGenève has been conceived by exhibitors for exhibitors.
This new-style show, open to the public, unites top-tier gemstone, diamond and pearl merchants, antique jewellery dealers, gemmological laboratories, jewellers and manufacturers and counted more than 4,800 entries in 2019.
Coinciding with Geneva’s autumn auctions, GemGenève 2020 hosts professional buyers, collectors, enthusiasts and international jewelry media. Far more than a forum for industry professionals, GemGenève is an international laboratory for creativity.
GemGenève was born out of a market need, a previously untapped opportunity that has gone from strength to strength.
“It seemed obvious that neither of us would give up on this adventure,” recalls Ronny Totah. “Yes, it was a major undertaking. Today, the positive resonance and reception of the exhibition make all the effort worthwhile.”
