Luxury event About J to take place in Venice in May

VICENZA, January 17, 2010 – About J, a luxury event by special invitation for top jewellery buyers and exhibitors organised by the Vicenza Fair, will take place in Venice on May 19-21, 2010, immediately before the “Charm” edition of the Vicenza Fair.
Some 250 leading international jewellery buyers will be hosted at the event, staying in the five-star luxury of the Hotel Bauer and the Hotel Danieli near St. Mark’s Square, and will travel 20 minutes by boat every day to the About J event, which will take place in a converted shipyard at the Arsenal with a naval theme, said Cristina Salvi, Project Manager.
About J, concluding a three-year cycle, is expected to feature around 70 exhibitors, a far more select number than the 1,500 who typically attend the Vicenza Fair.

“About J will be an opportunity for people to build up strong business relationships,” Salvi told Jewellery Outlook.
“It will be a chance for people to stay together all day and experience Italy. About J is a truly ‘Made in Italy’ event.”
Buyers will attand a cocktail reception at the Hotel Bauer and the Hotel Danieli after their arrival from around the world on May 18, and will attend the start of the show the next morning.
They will spend a free evening at the Venice Casino on May 19, attend a cultural event, probably a permanent exhibition, in Venice on the evening of May 20, and a Gala Event on May 21.
All of the buyers attending About J will be invited to visit the “Charm” edition of the Vicenza fair which starts immediately after About J, running from May 22-26, Salvi said.
