TRADE ASSOCIATIONS – The JET Business Network (JBN) announces first speakers for Retail Jewellers’ Congress at the NAJ Summit 2024

BIRMINGHAM, UK – The one-day JET Business Network event, taking place on Monday, June 24, 2024, will explore how jewellery retailers can survive and thrive in a changing retail landscape, encompassed in the theme – Think Different to Be Different.

The NAJ JET Business Network (JBN) has announced the first group of speakers scheduled to appear at the upcoming Retail Jewellers’ Congress, which will take place at the NAJ Summit 2024 on Monday, June 24.

The Retail Jewellers’ Congress has always been popular with members as it’s an opportunity to escape the shop, meet members from other groups and hear from invited experts who contribute their unique perspectives.

This year’s headline speakers include:

Nikolas Venios from The Ideas Agency will provide a dynamic one-hour innovation session. Discover how to tackle challenges by delving deep into the core of the issue and brace yourself for an electrifying journey as attendees explore cutting-edge problem-solving techniques.

Management consultant, Jonathan Ratcliff, will deliver a personal presentation on the blind spots of business leadership. Business owners measure many factors when determining how well they are doing. One critical element is often missed out of that list of factors. By holding up a mirror and reflecting on a personal journey that Jonathan went through, he will reveal powerful lessons for the audience to ponder and then take action.

Finally, tax specialist, Nick Latimer, explores the tax issues that need to be considered when trying new things or passing on the family jewels, along with how to take advantage of tax reliefs wherever available.

Announcing the first speakers at this year’s Congress, Michael Donaldson, JBN Facilitator, said:

“This year’s Congress content has been created to challenge, inspire, and provide direction that will help delegates successfully navigate the changing retail landscape, as yesterday’s tried and tested methods are no longer generating yesterday’s returns. To thrive in tomorrow’s world of jewellery retailing, we need to Think Different – to be Different.”

What is the Retail Jewellers’ Congress?

The Annual Retail Jewellers’ Congress has been a longstanding and popular event for independent jewellery retailers to come together, network and hear from esteemed speakers on topics and challenges reported by the NAJ’s independent jewellery retailer network – the JBN.

Regular Congress attendee, Cynthia Cartwright, Commercial Director of Wongs Jewellers, said:

“Congress offers inspirational speakers, insightful perspectives and invaluable networking opportunities that can really shape business strategies. It’s a vibrant event with a jam-packed schedule to maximise learning opportunities. If you’re looking to improve your business, then you need to be there.”
