The Designer Vivarium, curated by celebrated jewellery historian Vivienne Becker, will present an eclectic collection of brand new designs by eight cutting-edge contemporary designers from around the world, inspired by on-trend themes such as naturalism and spiritualism.

GemGenève co-founder Ronny Totah told a Jewellery Outlook webinar that he was confident of a strong flow of orders at the show, mirroring the success of recent in-person trade fairs at Vicenza and Istanbul, as the international trade will be enthusiastic to gather again, re-connect and restock.
GemGenève will take place just a few days before the Sotheby’s and Christie’s Magnificent Jewels auctions on November 9 and 10, 2021, respectively.
Thus Geneva will be a magnet for high-end retailers and collectors of remarkable jewellery, diamonds and gemstones in the first half of November.

The market for topnotch fine jewellery and gemstones has remained resilient throughout the pandemic as collectors see a store of value in the best quality goods, including items by brands such as Bulgari, Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, said Ida Faerber, a collaborator with Vivienne Becker on the Designer Vivarium.
As in previous editions, GemGenève will host a series of talks and educational events to inspire the trade and the next generation entering the gemstone and jewellery business.
The next edition of the show is expected to take place in May 2022, organisers said.
