What variety of goods will be on offer at the September show?
Ms. Sunanta : The 72nd Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair will showcase a comprehensive array of products that span the entire gems and jewellery value chain—from upstream to downstream.
Visitors can explore a wide variety of precious stones, semi-precious stones, rough stones, synthetic stones, diamonds, and pearls, sourced from both Thai and international suppliers.
The fair will also present an extensive selection of jewellery from leading manufacturers, including fine jewellery, gold jewellery, silver jewellery, and costume jewellery.
In addition, dedicated zones will showcase packaging solutions, jewellery parts, tools, equipment, and machinery—making the fair a true one-stop destination for industry professionals worldwide.
- Why should trade buyers attend? What does the Bangkok show offer that other shows do not provide?
Ms. Sunanta : The Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair is recognised as one of the world’s top four premier gems and jewellery trade events, and it is proudly regarded as the No.1 global hub for coloured gemstones.
The fair offers exceptional value to buyers across the industry as a comprehensive one-stop platform, bringing together every facet of the supply chain—from raw materials and machinery to packaging and finished products—all under one roof. Its central location in Bangkok ensures easy accessibility, complemented by world-class amenities for both business and leisure.
What truly sets the fair apart is its scale and specialisation. This edition will feature over 2,600 booths across Halls 1–8 on the G and LG floors of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC). Notably, the entire LG floor is dedicated to gemstones, with around 1,200 booths.

- What is the latest trend in the value of Thai gem and jewelry exports, and what is the outlook for 2026?
Ms. Sunanta : In the first five months of 2025, Thailand’s gem and jewellery exports (excluding gold) reached USD 6.65 billion, representing a 72.6% increase compared to the same period last year. This sector is one of major contributors to Thailand’s economy and ranks third among all export product categories. The top three export destinations are India, Hong Kong and the US.
Given that the U.S. is one of Thailand’s major markets, trade policies under a renewed Trump administration—particularly the imposition of tariffs—present both challenges and opportunities for the global gem and jewelry industry.
While higher tariffs may increase costs for U.S. importers and dampen demand, they also encourage sourcing diversification, potentially benefiting Thailand, which is renowned for its expertise in gemstone cutting and high-quality jewelry production.
- What are the most important geographical markets for Thai gem and jewelry exports? Do you see any changes in geographical market priorities for Thai gem and jewelry exports?
Ms. Sunanta : Currently, the top five markets for Thai gem and jewellery exports are India, Hong Kong, the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Among these, India, Japan, and the UK are showing particularly strong growth, driven by rising demand for both jewellery and faceted gemstones.
In addition, we are observing increasing potential in the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia. The region’s growing appetite for luxury goods and fine craftsmanship presents a promising opportunity for Thai exporters.
