In a news conference coinciding with the opening, Messe Muenchen CEO Stefan Rummel said the growth of the show, one of the biggest watches and jewellery trade fairs in Europe, was led by its overseas participation.

The attractively designed India Pavilion in Hall B2 underscored the importance of India as a leading global supplier of gemstones, diamonds and jewellery.

Mr Kirit Bhansali, the new chairman of India’s Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), told Jewellery Outlook in an interview that INHORGENTA would serve as a gateway for Indian gem and jewellery exports to Europe.
