NEC BIRMINGHAM – Jewellery & Watch, part of Moda at Spring Fair, which opened on February 4, offers an eclectic variety of precious and designer jewellery, as well as gemstones and cultured pearls.
The trade event saw strong turnout and orders from the outset, notably at silver jewellery, gemstone and mineral stands, as retailers, mainly from the UK and continental Europe, restocked following the holiday season.
Designer jewellery exhibitors included quaystones, whose pieces are inspired by the coastal heritage of northern English town Berwick-upon-Tweed, and Tide Jewellery, which features sustainably sourced New Zealand “Paua” shells (see designer interviews @jewelleryoutlook Instagram.)
London Pearl, a leading supplier of cultured pearls, saw brisk business in a constructive cultured pearls market, underpinned by tight supplies and strong demand led by Chinese influencers (see interview with London Pearls managing director Daniel Vecht at @jewelleryoutlook Instagram.)
Jewellery & Watch runs until February 7, 2024.
