JOVELLA to feature innovative design, new materials
RAMAT GAN, Israel, June 2011 – JOVELLA 2011, Israel’s international jewelry and diamond exhibition, to be held on July 5 – 6, 2011 in Tel Aviv, will feature novel design and original materials in a special Designer Boulevard, as well as collaboration with Shenkar College’s Department of Jewelry Design.
This year’s exhibition will feature 20 original Israeli designers in a dedicated Designer Boulevard. They represent a fresh approach to jewelry design and use of materials and in addition to gold, silver, semi-precious stones, pearls, will show items from recycled materials and plastic.
Fifty students of jewelry design at Shenkar College will be exhibiting with over 80 pieces. The Israeli jewelry and diamond industries regularly cooperate with Israeli design schools in order to incorporate young talent into their businesses. The students will be showing items made of gold, silver, brass as well as plastic, textiles, porcelain, paper and wood.
In addition to the innovative designers and design students, JOVELLA 2011 will feature exhibitors of gold jewelry, gold jewelry set with diamonds or precious stones, silver jewelry and fashion jewelry
An IDI–sponsored Diamond Pavilion will enable Israeli Diamond Industry members to exhibit loose diamonds and diamond jewelry.
The 8th annual exhibition is being organized by the Stier Group, with the sponsorship of the Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI), the Israel Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor, the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute, the Israel Jewelry Manufacturers’ Association and the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce.
